தமிழகத்தில் திராவிட முன்னேற்றக் கழகத்தோடு  பல கட்சிகள் கூட்டணி வைத்து சட்டமன்ற தேர்தலை சந்தித்தது அந்தக் கூட்டணி கட்சிகளில் ஒன்றுதான் விடுதலை சிறுத்தைகள் கட்சி. விடுதலை சிறுத்தைகள் சட்டமன்றத் தொகுதியில் 6 தொகுதிகளில் போட்டியிட்டது. என்னதான் தமிழகத்தில் ஆளும் கட்சியோடு கூட்டணியாக இருந்தாலும் ஆளும் கட்சிக்கு அவ்வப்போது கண்டனமும் வலியுறுத்தும் அளிக்கும் கட்சி என்றால் அதனை விடுதலை சிறுத்தைகள் கட்சி என்றே கூறலாம். இந்த நிலையில் விடுதலைச் சிறுத்தைகள் கட்சியின் தலைவரான தொல்.திருமாவளவன் கண்டனம் தெரிவித்துள்ளார். அதன்படி மக்கள் கண்காணிப்பகத்தில் சிபிஐ சோதனை நடத்துவதற்கு விடுதலை சிறுத்தைகள் கட்சியின் தலைவர் திருமாவளவன் கண்டனம் தெரிவித்துள்ளார். மனித உரிமைகளுக்காக தொடர்ந்து களத்தில் நிற்கும் அமைப்பு மக்கள் கண்காணிப்பகம் என்று தொல் திருமாவளவன் கூறினார். சட்டத்தின் வழியில் போராடி எளியோரின் உரிமைகளை பாதுகாத்து வரும் மக்கள் காப்பகத்தை கண்காணிப்பு ஒன்றிய அரசு இவ்வாறு அச்சுறுத்துவது என்றும் கூறியுள்ளார். சிபிஐ விசாரணையை நடத்துவதன் மூலம் மனித உரிமை போராளிகளை ஒதுக்கிவிட இயலாது என்றும் விடுதலை சிறுத்தைகள் கட்சி தலைவர் தொல் திருமாவளவன் கூறியுள்ளார்
