Expressing dissatisfaction over the progress made in the investigation into the 2019 Avaniapuram custodial death case, the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court on Tuesday observed that there was not only a delay but also lapses on the part of the investigating officer. The CB-CID is probing the custodial death case. A Division Bench of Acting Chief Justice Munishwar Nath Bhandari and Justice Pushpa Sathyanarayana took note of the fact that the incident took place in 2019. But, the probe was yet to be completed. The CB-CID took over the investigation in 2021.

போலீஸ் விசாரணைக்கு சென்ற இளைஞர் மர்ம மரணம் குறித்த விசாரணையை முடித்து, வரும் 31-ம் தேதிக்குள், குற்றப்பத்திரிகை தாக்கல் செய்ய, உயர்நீதிமன்ற மதுரை கிளை உத்தரவிட்டுள்ளது.

Warning that the court would not be liberal if the delay continues, the judges gave a deadline of 10 days for the CB-CID to complete the investigation and file chargesheet by December 31.

MADURAI: Dissatisfied with the progress of the investigation conducted by the CB-CID in a 2019 custodial death case in Madurai, the Madurai Bench of Madras High Court directed the investigating officer to file chargesheet in the case by December 31.

மதுரை : மதுரை அவனியாபுரம் போலீஸ் விசாரணையில் டிரைவர் மரணமடைந்தது தொடர்பான வழக்கில் டிச.,31க்குள் சி.பி.சி.ஐ.டி., போலீசார் இறுதி அறிக்கை தாக்கல் செய்ய உயர்நீதிமன்ற மதுரை கிளை உத்தரவிட்டது.

சோலையழகுபுரம் முத்து கருப்பன்,'என் மகன் டிரைவர் பாலமுருகன். அவரை ஒரு கடத்தல் வழக்கு தொடர்பாக அவனியாபுரம் போலீசார் 2019 ல் சட்டவிரோதமாக காவலில் வைத்து தாக்கினர். காயமடைந்த பாலமுருகன் அரசு மருத்துவமனையில் இறந்தார். சி.பி.ஐ., விசாரணைக்கு உத்தரவிட வேண்டும்' என மனு செய்தார். மனுதாரர் தரப்பில் வாபஸ் பெற்றதால், தனி நீதிபதி தள்ளுபடி செய்தார்.

முகவை மாவட்டம் முதுகுளத்தூர் மணிகண்டன் காவல்நிலைய படுகொலையை கண்டித்து மதுரையில் காவல் சித்திரவதைக்கு எதிரான கூட்டியக்கத்தின் சார்பில் நடைபெற்ற கண்டன ஆர்ப்பாட்டத்தில் திரு. ஹென்றி திபேன் கண்டன உரையாற்றினார்.
