The Unit uses various means to enhance public interest, awareness and outrage around human rights issues. However, this is primarily addressed through the use of the print and electronic media as well as the internet. The Public Relations disseminated reports of human rights violations to political parties, officials, NGOs, media, and many others on a weekly basis. The Unit also organises Discussion Forums every month to build awareness among the general public on various human rights issues like the Common Education System, Fake Encounters, the Need for an Independent Judiciary, Implementation of SC/ST Act, Challenges to Women in Social Activism etc.
